Kenyan Kenneth Mugara wins Mumbai Marathon 2009

Kenyan runner , Kenneth Mugara won the Mumbai Marathon on Sunday. Kenyan Kenneth Mugara completed the marathon in 2 hours, 11 minutes, 50 seconds.

This Mumbai Marathon which was organised today was the first major public event in Mumbai city since terror attacks on Taj hotel , Oberoi Hotel etc.

David Tarus , Another Kenyan placed 2nd and and two-time defending champion John Kelai, also from Kenya, placed third.

The Theme for Mumbai Marathon 2009 was " Peace and Unity " in which thousands of Mumbaikars participated. 45 km long Mumbai Marathon 2009 was started from Mahapalika Marg which is near to CST railway station , one of the terror attack site.

Many Celebraties including Filmstars , Sport Persons and Business and corporate people participated in this Mumbai Marathon.
